Heroes of Barcadia is tabletop party game where players race through a dungeon to battle various monsters in an effort to defeat the Grand Drink Guardian and reclaim the town's liquid gold. The character pawns are represented in the game by Character Cups, and their life total is represented by the amount of beverage left in the glass. The base game is for two to six players, ages 21 and up, and plays in 30 to 90 minutes. (Read More)

Girls vs Ghouls is a hidden identity game for 4 to 7 players, ages 14 and up, and takes about 40–60 minutes to play. It’s currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, with a pledge level of $39 for a copy of the game or $59 for the deluxe edition; there’s a $10 expansion pack available as an add-on. Although the box says 14 and up, the gameplay is simple enough that younger kids should be able to pick it up—I played with my 11-year-old—but the trickiest part could be the social deduction, which can even fool adult players. After the scandalous release of The Day Before, Fntastic is back with a shocking move. The company announced a new game, Escape Factory, which will be funded via a Kickstarter campaign. The studio is asking for $15,567 to support the project, which they pitch as a multiplayer, physics-based escape game. (Read More)

Pinnacle Entertainment Group has launched a new Kickstarter for their Deadlands setting for the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition RPG. The Abominable Northwest is a trail guide focusing on the Pacific Northwest. The project trampled its funding goal in minutes and there are a variety of pledge levels. Grab the hardcover setting book (with PDF) for a $40.00 pledge. You can also score the Carnage in the Cascades plot point campaign box set (with PDFs) for a $40.00 pledge or go all in and grab everything on offer for the Northwest – including a graphic novel – for a $120.00 pledge through October 24th with an expected delivery next August. (Read More)

The tabletop RPG Mörk Borg is coming to the world of videogames with Mörk Borg: Heresy Supreme—which you can expect to be something like the world of Scandinavian metal blended with the vibes of Dark Souls.
